Hillside offers Core Training to its own staff and staff across our Outreach Schools. For other training, please see our Training page.

We recommend that this training is refreshed annually. We try to run these courses regularly across the year. Please get in touch with us if you need alternative arrangements: training@hillside.brighton-hove.sch.uk

Hygiene and Intimate Care: This training supports staff to carry out personal and intimate care for a pupil in a professional and dignified way. It addresses good practice guidelines and hygiene procedures. The training references the Local Authority's model policy and participating schools need to have their own policy in place in line with this so the training doesn't contradict their school policy. It is recommended that this training is adopted by a whole school not individual staff. A refresher training pack is available for schools once initial training has been delivered, for annual refresher training.
